Anoutstanding example of this rare 1952 Wisconsin Republican Party campaignposter promoting Dwight Eisenhower for President, Richard Nixon for VicePresident, and Joseph McCarthy for Senator. Composed of cardboard, theposter measures 13.5” x 21.5 and is in very good shape, and retains its colors withonly minor blemishes – please see the photographs. The poster also pictures Walter Kohler, Jr., Wisconsin’s 33rd Governor – his father served as the state’s 26thChief E...xecutive. The other candidates featuredare Thomson for Attorney General, Zimmerman for Secretary of State, Smith forState Treasurer, Byrnes for Congress, Downing for State Senator and Gilley forAssemblyman. Thisis a choice specimen of a rare campaign item featuring General Eisenhower, avery young Richard Nixon, and the notorious anti-Communist senator whose smeartactics eventually led to his censure by the United States Senate. Senator McCarthy served in that body from1947 until his death in 1957. It will be carefully packaged, mailed flat, and insured.
