From an area collectors estate. Parting with a Phillips 66 Red Head Flashlight. Takes 2 D cell batteries. Marked with the logo on the tapered end. Pat. Dec. 20, 1921. About 8.5" long. Will leave to new owner to clean as desired and/or possible. As with these old flashlights, they do not often have the brightest of beams. Pictures of light taken at a desk.Issues: Battery compartment clean given age and type of item. U...sual wear and scuff marks to exterior given age and type of item. Case is clean of rusty marks. Stand functions appropriately. Lenses are good. The front clear lens has rough edges noticeable when removed from cap - I assume it is original - and centered it when put back together enabling the rough edges to be hidden behind the metal lens rim. The main issue is that the end cap over the battery compartment has some splits in the metal - about one larger and two smaller. I held it with my hand in order to keep it firmly in place after I inserted the batteries, because I did not want to force it snug and tight given the splits after inserting the batteries, but when I took the picture with the flashlight on and working, I did not have my hand over the end cover.On Aug-05-19 at 06:07:23 PDT, seller added the following information:The long split in the metal end cap is about 1" in length.
