Original Description:
Very Rare Tyzack medium Router Plane, w/ wood base, smaller than Preston 1399, next size under.
Not an easy to find plane, it’s a perfect size 4” x 2” and has a nice wooden base (user made base?)
This is an extremely useful size router plane, with an excellent iron, also comes with a green protective sleeve.
Paint is chipped in a few places,  but wood & brass handles are near perfect. See photos for condition.
Joseph Tyzack router planes are not as “polishe...d” as Preston router planes but they are very functional facsimiles.
Always painted red, and as far as I know, they never were stamped with makers name or model numbers.
