Here is a handmade old fashioned wood stick match holder designed to be hung on a wall (although it wouldn't have to be used that way, as it sits nice on any flat surface.) The cardboard box of matches (not included) would be placed inside and opened slightly so that the matches fall into the trough. The decorative piece measures about 8 1/2" tall and 3" wide. I did nothing to clean it up. Some folks like the patina look, still others would shine t...his up with a piece of very fine steel wool. I'll leave that for the next owner to decide. The match holder is in great shape. There is a price of $12.99 written on back in what appears to be marker. I am certain that that would come off with steel wool.
Please review the pictures. I took some with natural light and others with flash, that accounts for the difference in color.
This is a classic piece that is both beautiful and functional. Would look awesome by your stove or fireplace.
