Joanies is very excited to be offering a large four-day important family estate collection. This prominent family of Doctors resided in China between 1890-1960 and during this time acquired a vast array of rare and important objects that have never been offered until now. This includes a vast array of Asian ...art examples, fine jades, snuff bottles, bronzes, porcelain, important Archaic works, and more.
A number of the items being offered were scheduled to be sent to New Yorks’s high end auctions, but due to large sale delays this year the estate had asked us to offer All the items. A great and rare opportunity to acquire some investment-grade examples.
Over the past 20 years Joanies has hosted Hundreds of estate auctions, auctioning upwards of a hundred thousand fine estate items during this time. Up for auction is a FINE & LARGE 18TH CENTURY CHINESE QIANLONG GOLD GILT BRONZE CLOISONNE ENAMEL VASE. Part of a prominent estate collection being offered this week that includes fine cloisonne examples.
This vase is a fine antique example that dates from the 18th century. The vase is superbly constructed of bronze and retains a large amount of its original and authentic ormolu gold gilding. The vase is finely decorated throughout including the interior neck. The vase has a unique reverse-meiping form very reminiscent of Kangxi period examples. A large and rarely found example.
Condition: Dint and enamel loss to side that could likely be restored if desired. The vase is otherwise in substantially good condition for its early antique age as seen. UV light reveals no hidden damage.
Size: The vase is a nice large size example measuring 15 inches tall by 7 1/2 inches wide, weighing a quality 2086 grams. PLEASE REVIEW PAYMENT AND RETURN POLICIES PRIOR TO BIDDING.
