Gorgeous, quality silk bodice fragment salvaged from a 19th century handmade bodice. Loveliest shade of emerald green. Pure silk fiber content. Unique fabric - , finely textured, smooth silk satin-like face with a shimmering silk taffeta base. Perfect weight - thin, but with substance, no signs of deterioration or brittleness....see last photo for... slight silk thread weakness in areas.....still useable for one's project. This is over 100 years old.....French in origin
