Here is a rare H. S. MEANS Sterling 10K Buckle to accommodate a ONE & ONE QUARTER INCH (1 1/4") belt..., featuring a very unique and WONDERFUL BOLD and RARE GOLD horse head design by famed Sculptor, GLADYS BROWN in 1947 with BEAUTIFUL flowers and scrolls as well as well as GOLD RUBY-STUDDED HORSE SHOES in each corner and GOLD TWISTED ROPE TRIM on the buckle. The face of the buckle is covered in the most BEAUTIFUL single-point hand engraving of flowers and scrolls. The buckle is signed "H.S. MEANS CULVER CITY, CAL. STERLING 10K" and measures approximately 3 1/8 inches by 2 1/8 inches. H.S. Means Co. was the precursor to the Sunset Trails Company when Mike SROUR joined Joe STANTON and Means together in the 1950s.
