Please notice this is just a quilt TOP: it is NOT a finished quilt, or bedspread, as there is no batting or backing beneath the pieced fabrics shown in the photos.
We were not able to find this particular pattern, that looks like a True Lovers' Buggy Wheel, but the "wheel" is hexagonal.
The blue fabric used as the "base" to sew the appliques unto is cotton chambray. When you inspect underneath, you can see some of the selvage left by the makers. The "wheels" are made with f...eed sacks and other fabrics. One of those fabrics have a nice novelty print.
The diminutive stitching used to affix the appliques is seen on close-up # 9.
It measures 78" by 66"; the bed is a queen, 80" by 60".
