This is an original WWII US M1 fixed bale front seam helmet.
There is no heat stamp - as I am told, helmets that were issued usually got a stamp, ones that were not did not get stamped. So this is likely an unissued original.
The liner I am not sure on - I am told it is Danish post-war, no stamps or markings, so not likely US.
The front seam and fixed bales are synonymous with early WWII M1 helmets and are very sough after by US Army & Military Collectors.
The paint rem...ains fully intact with a few barely noticeable rust spots on the top, as well as some paint lifting inside at the rear of the helmet.
Beautiful patina and paint matches my other wartime - heat stamped Front Seam Swivel Bale helmet.
Add a chinstrap and a leather band and you got yourself a perfect wartime example!
