WWII American Red Cross 3 piece winter nurse’s uniform set. This auction includes 1 Ike jacket, 1 pant, 1 skirt and 1 black & white photo with her name written on the back. She appears to either be wearing this jacket in the photo or the summer version of it I am selling separately.
Rare! All pieces included in this auction are shown together in photo #4. (The painting displayed above the uniform in my photos is actually of her but the painting is n...ot for sale NFS)

Pre owned, shows general wear from military service. Overall really nice condition, well taken care of and stored properly. Faint old smell but not bad at all. Maybe needs to air out a little after being in a trunk for decades. Great pieces for any military or Red Cross collection.
Heavy weight wool, finely constructed. Jacket is lined - pants are only lined around the top. Tailor made. No maker tags except on the skirt. The skirt and her jacket have her name sewn in. The patterns have a lot of nice details. Probably the best is that there are 2 button holes in the back of the jacket liner that hook into buttons placed on the back of the pants...sort of like built in suspenders.
Attached belt that cinches the waist on the jacket. Pants and skirt have a button fly on the side hip. Wide leg & high waisted pants with adjustable button straps at the bottom cuffs.
JACKET CONDITION: Overall really nice. No holes or moth damage. All original buttons. Needs a repair in the liner at the sleeve- the thread has come loose at the seam in one spot. Pretty minor fix or leave as is. Has some discoloration / combat soiling on the front, and lining...mainly the inside of the belt. The lining has some underarm soiling but it cannot be seen from the outside. This was not put away dirty - it feels quite clean despite how some parts look...but if that bothers you this piece is not for you.
PANT CONDITION: excellent, seem hardly worn. All original buttons are there. No stains or holes. No moth damage.
SKIRT CONDITION: good, some faint discoloration throughout, similar to that on the jacket. Bottom hemn is raw and has been taken out. You can see where it was pressed from the original hemn. One missing inner button at waistband - not seen from outside.

No sizes marked on the jacket or pants, but I did see in her service record notes that in Sept of 1945 she was 5’ 7” tall & weight 118 at the time.
The skirt tag says it is a waist 26” & hips 36”. The serial number is illegible.
