Magnificent Indian sterling silver 3 piece tea set, made circa 1885.
This is a beautiful silver tea set comprising of tea pot, sugar bowl and milk jug.
All three pieces have round bodies with domed lids and urn finials.
The pieces have superb quality finely chased swirling leaves and flowers against a textured background and they stand on four legs.
The teapot is 7-3/4 inches / 198 mm wide, 4 inches / 101 mm in diametre and it stands 4-3/4 inches / 120 mm tall.
T...he sugar bowl is 5-1/4 inches / 134 mm wide across the handles and 4 inches / 101 mm tall.
The milk jug is 4 inches / 101 mm wide and 3-1/4 inches / 82 mm tall.
Made of thick gauge silver, the set weighs 845 grams.
The set is in excellent condition with no dents, damage or repair.
