STORY: This is part of a estate I purchased back in the 1980s when I had a auction house. The owner was a engineer in the navy during wwII ...and then on great lakes ships most of his life, and he was well into his 80s when he passed. So this could be from the 60s or from 1900 I don't know. Not brass so I would say 1940s
