For sale is an exceedingly rare grouping. It is named to USMC China Marine Commander Colonel William W. Ashurst. Colonel Ashurst was taken POW by the Japanese on 12/08/1941. His whole unit had no choice but to surrender as the US Embassy in China was overrun and they were outnumbered by the Japanese. Everything you see is original. The most important part of this grouping is the ORIGINAL Japanese order for Colonel Ashurst and his unit to surrender, given to Colonel Ashurst along with t...he original translation sheet. THIS GROUP IS EXTREMELY RARE as with anything China Marine but this is all from the Commander himself. 
I have several items from Colonel Ashurst which I'll be listing soon, including his original Soochow Creek 32 certificate. The certificate is not included in this lot and will be in a separate listing.
