Vintage Vietnam era US NAVY GREEN XLARGE DECK JACKET COAT This is an original US NAVY GREEN XLARGE DECK JACKET COAT. This type of jacket was worn on the decks of US Navy ships from the 1970's to the 1990's. They are made out of 50% Cotton and 50% Nylon.This jacket is in great used Condition. Zipper works fine all buttons are there.LST-1182 0536 written on the back. Daylong on front pocket.This jacket had some neat features.1) Quilted lining with a fake type of fur2) Brass zipper3) Left... front breast pocket with a snap flap4) Two front angle hand pockets5) Pull tabs on the side for a snug fit.6) Inner cuffs to stop updrafts.7) Extra flap with buttons.Here are some measurements:
From under one arm pit to the other is 27 1/2 inches.From the top of the shoulder seam area to the end of the jacket is about 27 inches.The length of the sleeve from the top of the shoulder cut to the end of the cuff is 26 1/2 inches.From the back shoulder seam to shoulder seam is about 21 1/2 inches.The nape, or area from the center top cut where the collar meets the top of the coat cut to the bottom of the coat is 29 inches, or more simply said the length of the back of the coat from the collar cut line to the bottom of the jacket. I have taken 5 measurements on 5 areas of the body. I suggest you get a tape measure and check the measurements that I have listed. If you don't have a tape measure I suggest you get a piece of string and get an idea of the length of the various parts of your body as to get a good fit. For example, I take most of the measurements where the shoulder cut is, on your body this is the farthest point of your body on the shoulder. Hold a string up to it and then you can get an idea of where the cuff would end on you. I don't mean to offend anyone, just want to get a good fit.Winning bidder to pay $13.01 (US) for postage..
