Original 33-Star Early Civil War Era (1859-1861) Patriotic Parade Flag .  Wonderful small parade flag waved at patriotic parades by Union patriots in the early days of the Civil War.  After the bombardment of Fort Sumter, recruitment fever broke out across the North as President Lincoln called for 75, 000 volunteers to end the rebellion.  The 33rd star represents the addition of Oregon as the 33rd state in 1859.  Please check my other items For Sale such as addition...al flag in fifth photo. 
This cotton flag of a somewhat gauze-like texture is in very good condition for its age.  A few tiny pin holes visible, probably from aging and some 9-20 mm horizontal lines where fibers have broken down.   It is has an  Acid Free mounting with Matting to protect the flag from pressure by the glass in a square display frame.            Flag Size: 6 X 4 inches          Glass Square Size: 8 X 8 inches       External Frame Size: 9 3/8 X 9 3/8 inches              Shipped with USPS Priority Mail.
