Original Description:
Late 19th Century'early 20th Century  beautiful BRONZE of VERCINETROIX the Barbarian.  He is wearing a winged helmet and covered by a lion pelt. Long braided hair and a heavy mustache. By noted sculptor Emile LAPORTE, Signed on the base.of the bronze.Very impressive masculine piece. Stands about 16 inches tall, 11 inches wide. Base is 3 3/4 by 4 1/2 inches. . Piece has some dust and needs a good cleaning. No damage or repairs I can see to the bronze figure. Lovely piece by a ...well regarded artist.  Very heavy item.
