Offered in this sale is a antique American salt glazed stoneware crock decorated with a blue flower swirl design that I believe dates to the 19th century. This piece comes from an old local country Connecticut estate where I recently acquired a number of primitive metal ware pieces and other accessories that I don't... generally specialize in nor know too much about. The crock measures roughly 10 1/2" tall x 10" in diameter. The condition is good. It has a small chip on the inside edge of the upper rim and there is a old tight hairline on one side near the base edge that continues on the base which someone long ago "sealed" to prevent it from expanding. Other than this there is no other damage. A nice attractive early old crock. Please be sure to enlarge and zoom each image for a close up view of the detail and decoration and the condition and do not hesitate to send me a message if you have questions or would like additional images. I always guarantee everything that I sell to be as described. This piece is being sold without a reserve as long as there is an opening bid. The shipping cost within the United States is $20.00. I WILL SHIP THIS DOUBLE BOXED FOR SAFE TRANSPORTThe last three images illustrate just a few of the many other items I have or will be posting separately for sale on Ebay from several different collections daily throughout the next several weeks including a group of twelve different Anna Weatherley Flowers of Yesterday plates, a vintage signed Longaberger woven basket, more than two dozen sterling old sterling silver flatware serving pieces, a Meiji period Sumida Gawa teapot. a collection of over forty vintage original blue Cyanotype photographs and real picture postcards as well as more than a one hundred early press and wire photos dating from the early to mid 1900s, a selection of stamps from the personal collection of James Glanville formed when he was a young boy and who was later a founding partner of Lazard Freres, a number of pieces of signed Waterford cut crystal, early American and continental tin and pewter including lanterns, candle-molds, candlesticks and more, a number of pieces of antique and vintage Chinese famille rose medallion porcelain, Lladro porcelain, a Fornasetti covered candle holder as well as an eclectic mix of antique to contemporary china glass and accessories including flow blue china, Rosenthal porcelain, Scandinavian and Murano art glass, antique photo albums and photographs, as well as other 18th - 20th century American, English, Continental and Chinese ceramics, porcelain, glass and accessories.
