Featured in this auction is a majestic, cylindrical vase made by Rookwood Pottery. This vase is in excellent condition with the exception of a small rim hairline that measures about an inch long. Visible both inside and outside the vase, the hairline does not detract at all from the beauty of this amazing piece. There are no chips, no other cracks, some light overall crazing, and no repairs. This vase is 6-3/4" tall and almost 3" wide.&n...bsp; The base of the pottery is stamped with the Rookwood Pottery flame mark, the shape number 1124E and the production year VI (1906), along with the letter "V" signifying a vellum finish. This substantial vase features a strong, arts-and-crafts columnar detail that encircles it. This gorgeous glaze is a rich, matte green drip glaze that accentuates the mold detail brilliantly creating a striated effect as it travels down the vase. The glaze does show some slight color variation at the rim and very-minor scuffing from having been gently used. But otherwise, it is very clean both inside and out. Check out all 12 photos! This gorgeous vase is visually spectacular and would look amazing in your favorite display cabinet. It would also be perfect for any Rookwood or American art pottery collector.
