Antique ceramic pitcher by Swastika Keramos, a division of the Owen China Company, which was produced by that firm in the years 1906 to 1908. The painting is in exceptional condition save for glaze rubs which are often found on the rims of these pieces, especially the gold ones. Some evidence that a tiny bit of rubbing has been repainted.
The design and decoration is attributed to John Lessell, who had begun his career at the early Arkansas ceramics firm, Camark.
