Antique Art Pottery Bowl
Description and Item Information
Up for sale is this old, matte green art pottery bowl or low vase. Please excuse any glare in the photos. This piece stands approximately 2 inches tall, and it has a maximum width of about 6 3/4 inches. Unpacked, it weighs 1 pound 7.5 ounces. The glaze is matte green, with lighter and darker areas. The rim is scalloped, and there is textured floral decoration which does not go ...all of the way around the bowl. This would be a great addition to an arts and crafts bungalow decor.
Identification
This old bowl is unmarked. It is believed to be from the arts and crafts era (circa early 20th century). The maker is not known. I've seen similar pieces attributed to American manufacturers, like Cambridge; I've also seen them identified as Japanese. I'll leave it up to the buyer to determine the exact origin. It is a beautiful piece, wherever it was made.
Condition
This piece looks very good overall, with no cracks. To the interior rim edge, there is a linear, as-made glaze skip area with a couple of tiny fleabite glaze flakes that may be post-manufacture (see Photo 6). There is fine, darkened crazing. As made, there are thicker and thinner glaze areas and scattered, tiny dimples; there is a 1/4 inch by 3/16 inch glaze skip to the side (see Photo 2), and there is an unglazed patch beneath (see Photo 4). Photo 5 shows a tiny, fused clay bit to the interior. Please review the description and photos, and ask any necessary questions prior to bidding or buying.

1. Payments
Taxes may be applicable. The correct shipping address must be included with payment. Contact the seller before bidding or buying to find out about acceptable payment methods for local pickups or deliveries. Payments must be received within three days of the end of the listing, unless prior arrangements have been made.
2. Shipping
Good packaging is included; double-boxing is not necessarily included. Framed art will not be shipped unframed. The seller usually ships on Mondays and Thursdays. The merchandise will normally be shipped on the seller's next shipping day after payment clears. The seller is not responsible for the transit time once the merchandise has been accepted by the shipping carrier.
Shipping includes delivery to a physical address via a method of the seller's choice. If the buyer prefers a different shipping method other than that chosen by the seller, or if delivery is to a post office box, additional shipping costs may be required. At the seller's discretion, a signature may be required for delivery.
Shipping quotes must be requested prior to all international bidding or buying. For international shipping, there may be parcel size restrictions or prohibitions on certain classes of merchandise. Customs forms will not be falsified.
