For your consideration ...
... a 1938-D Buffalo Nickel certified MS 67 by NGC.
The photos DO NOT do this coin any justice at all -- it is truly breathtaking, plain and simple. An absolutely stunning, superb gem, this Buffalo Nickel features a phenomenal strike, a highly lustrous, "flashy" profile, and a subtle champagne tone on the left and right peripheries.
This is easily the most lustrous, and overall best Buffalo of any date I've seen in at least two years, and probably longer. At it's certainly a top 5 of nickels from any series. I've probably seen a few Jeffersons that are as nice or nicer, but that's about it. And I see a lot of nickels. Yes, it really is that nice.
The strike and luster on this coin give it such high-end eye appeal, it looks much more like a 68 than a 67 -- and I'm frankly shocked it did not come back with a star or plus grade. Give the potential return on investment, I think this one would be an excellent candidate for re-grade. Strictly speaking, PCGS and NGC give relatively few coins a bump in grade, but this one would have a better-than-average chance, in my opinion.
You can see hints of the tone on the obverse and reverse in a couple of the photos, but it doesn't come out well, if at all, in most of the photos. It's visible in hand, and gives the coin a distinctive look that only enhances its high-end eye appeal, but it is not its dominant feature by any means. In fact, at some angles and in some lighting, it's not really visible at all.
Chatter is all but non-existent, with only a few small contact marks -- none of which are visible in hand from normal viewing distance, or even close-up for that matter. While you can see a few in the photos, which of course exaggerates all of the coin's attributes and flaws (such as they are), you really need a loupe to get a see any of them in detail in hand.
Overall, a high-end coin with eye appeal that is off the charts in every respect. It literally took my breath away when I first saw it, and it wouldn't surprise me a bit if it did the same for even the most discerning collector. If you have any questions about this coin, or any of my other listings, or would like to see additional photos, please send me an e-mail through ebay's messaging system.                                                                                                And don't forget to check out my other listings when you have a moment. I usually have about a dozen or so coins, and occasionally paper currency and other collectibles, listed for sale or bid. Thanks!
Note to buyers: Due to the recent spate of fraudulent returns on ebay in the U.S. and other countries,  all returns are now opened in the presence of the local postmaster or postal carrier, and a certified notary public. This change does NOT affect our return policy in any way. Returns are still accepted for any reason as long as the item(s) are returned unaltered and undamaged. And refunds are still processed within 24 hours of the return's arrival (and usually within just a few hours.) You can find additional details of our return policy below, but if you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to contact us through ebay. Thank you for your continued support of Shenandoah.blue.
                                                                                                 +++

RETURN POLICY: I accept returns for any reason up to 30 days after your item arrives, as long as it is returned undamaged and unaltered. Don't like it? No problem. Change your mind? No problem. Found a better price? No problem. Run it through the wash? ... eh, yeah — that would be a problem. But almost anything else — that's right, no problem. Refunds, which consist of 100 percent of the purchase price (I don't charge a "restocking fee") and are usually processed the same day the returned item is delivered, and always within 48 hours.

If you wish to return an item, please give me the opportunity to make things right before you leave negative or neutral feedback or open a return case with ebay. You can always go back and open a case or leave negative feedback later if you are not satisfied. I am an honest seller who does not play games with return policies, shipping costs, photos or item descriptions.
Thank you for reading and for looking at my items. If you have any questions about my listings, or my return or shipping policies, please feel free to contact me. I am happy to answer any questions you might have, whether you purchase an item from me or not.
Thanks again.Sincerely, - Rob "Shenandoah.Blue"
