This doll was made in the late 1950's era. She is wearing a classic outfit from 1957. She is marked on the back of her head with Madame Alexander. Doll is 20 inches tall from front. Back is 19 inches because of heel of foot style. She has most of her original stringing. At some point strung areas will need replaced as the bands continue to age and stretch. When is... up to her new owner. Her joints have no splitting at seams no where on her body parts. She has been stored and handled in need of a night overall surface cleaning. Again that would be up to her new owner as to when and what is used. She has not had any repairs other than her head put back on. Clothes have never been cleaned. Her hair has not had anyone tamper with it. It is a shade of dark auburn brown. Hair pins are still in place she came with for the style she has. It is in original style and has a need for some TLC. Some of the edges have come loose from age and will need to be glued back down. Her face is very pretty with no scratching on the paint. Her lashes are full and eyes are good with no damage that do open and shut with no problems. Please see the close up pictures. She has holes for earrings, but none are on her at this time. There is no damage around them. On her torso, their is a slight color different at the back of the neck near her hair line where it was exposed between clothes and hairline. It is not real bad, just wanted to make sure it was noted. Her arms are rubber and jointed at elbow. She has no damage to them or any other joints. Body is clean where her clothes have been. She has no odor. Clothes are jacket, dress, slip, panties, hose, and high heel shoes. She had a muff on one arm that more than likely had more to it at one time that went with it. No hat. This outfit was called a lilac afternoon gown of taffeta with a removable short-sleeved bolero. She has no jewelry like the ring, necklace, earrings, bracelet or handbag. She is wearing a full cancan slip, panties, stockings, and sling back shoes. Her slip is in the beginning stages of needing new elastic and I am pretty sure her panties won't be to far behind that. Her hose have no runs except on the bottom of one stocking and near the toe on that same one. I do have a photo upon request of it. Her heeled shoes elastic is shot as well, but the plastic part is in good condition with no damage and the lining of felt over the elastic has wear along the edges. Her dress does have a few scattered moth holes in the back of the skirt. Again, I do have photos upon request. There are also some scattered light stains of a light brown on front that may or may not come out if cleaned. This doll is used and would make a great addition to any collection. So many of you collect these dolls on different levels of condition and use different products to get the look you personally want for yourself. Her flaws are listed so you can determine what you are willing to except her condition as as to what you like to do. She was stored, but stored with care to preserve all the good things about her and her clothes as she aged naturally. Postage is for doll and insurance. All postage not used is refunded.
