Pair of Victorian wall sconces each sconce has a mica shade. We used these up until recently when we redecorated. These have been rewired and work great. I believe they are cast bronze because a magnet does not stick to them. They are in very nice condition. I have never seen another pair like them. From what I have been told these were put together using various parts available from the time period. They are beautiful and elegant when mounted on the wall. They are about 15-16 inches t...all and the shades are about 7.5 inches diameter. The shades are mica and I believe copper because a magnet does not stick to them either. The mica is mostly solid but have a few flakes here and there. The ornate socket holders are also not magnetic and I believe they are bronze as well. The light sockets - one says Perkins on the turn switch and the other has a big E with an arrow through it. Both of those were around the 1890's. I did not take them apart to look any further but they are both old. There are not any markings on these ... only on the mica shades. They say "Made in USA" "Pat Pend Sep 23 90". As pictured.
