This helmet is in good used condition. It belonged to Army Colonel Gregory Hoisington, who was born 11/21/1887, died 6/16/1956, and is buried in Arlington National Cemetery. His daughter was one of the two first female colonels in the US Army, and he came from a long line of distinguished US military personnel.
The liner is in good shape. Interior straps are intact. It was likely not used in batt...le. Helmet shows some wear and tear, such as scratches and scuffs.
Helmet measures approximately 11" x 9" and has a front seam (pre-1943).
