An original Civil War letter written by a soldier named John who was in the 121st Regt. N.Y. Vols. It is dated Oct 18th 1863. In one area it says, ..................since I began writing this .....thare is heavy fireing on my left and the officers are riding by and I expect to hear the order to fall in...................also have the privilidge of writing of a Victory by the Army of the Potomac untill then or till death I ...remain ever your affectionate Cousin............. The letter has wear and stain marks, there is some tears and edge wear, some areas are light and hard to read. If you have any questions feel free to ask. Thank you for looking.
