Great inscribed Civil War soldier CDV of C. G. Malon 1st. Sergt. of Co. K 111th Pa. Vet. Vols 3d Brig 2d Divis 20th Army Corps Mill Creek c Ga. May 10th 64 in line of battle and the Cannons booming. if you like inscribed images, this one says a lot. I looked up his regiment and they were at Mill Creek Church in Georgia on May 10th entrenched. He must have signed the back of his CDV while he was in the trenches and the Confederates where bombarding the trench line. Pretty neat. The imag...e measures app. 4" x 2 1/2" in size. It shows age and wear. He was at Gettysburg among many other battles. The pictures are accurate as to its condition. Please look at my other auctions.
