Original WWII Para-Marine combat jacket in excellent condition.This is the type of jacket covered in Chris Mason's book by Schiffer Publishing entitled "PARAMARINE!, on pages 24 through 31.I really hate to sell this, it fits me perfectly! 15 1/2" neck 31"sleeve length and about 42" in the chest. YOU WILL LOOK FOR YEARS TO FIND A BETTER EXAMPLE OF THIS JACKET. There are no rips, tears, stains, missing snaps, buttons, split seams, etc. It is in near perfect shape. It is stenciled both si...des with "WALSH", and "USMC". there is also the number "38" stamped vertically which could be a size except I stopped fitting into a 38 about fifty years ago, so it might be some sort of unit marking or such. I know I'm going to get some complaints on the starting price, but , if you are looking at Paramarine items, you are not a beginning collector, and are not afraid to "run with the big dogs". I've collected for over sixty years so I'm pretty sure somebody out there will know what they are looking at. If not, I'll keep it and wear it to church. Condition is Used. Shipped with USPS Priority Mail.
NOTE:  There was a question as to whether or not the snaps had "United Carr" on them.  YEA they do, photo has been added.
