Here is the optional town and country radio for the 1957 Ford Thunderbird. Ford part # 79MS. This is a 12 volt unit. Volume and tuner shafts move freely. Pointer moves freely when shaft is turned. Push buttons work correctly and so do the channel presetters. Main black wires are not cut but the 2 pin connector adjacent of the black wires are cut, but the connector is there and the wires are long. Chrome on the face is very nice with no big pits or spider cracking in the chrome. Push bu...ttons are very nice with no pits. Lens is nice but needs a a good cleaning. Adjustable pointer is very nice with no fading. Outer housing is also in very nice shape. There is some surface rust on top but no rot or holes. First and foremost I'm not about to say "this worked when pulled 10 years ago"! That is total BS and I see it so much on automotive radios it makes me sick. Most of the people who say that already know their radios don't work and need a lot of work. I honestly don't know if it works or not. Most of these radios, especially town and country radios will need adjusting/servicing even if they do work. If I was over 60 years old too I would need some servicing . I don't see any thing burned up like capacitors, diodes, or resistors. This radio is in very nice condition. Please look at all the pics.
