2x RFT 6SN7 (ECC32 5692 VT231), Ceramics Spacers, 1953/1954 Codes, 100, Rare
Item History & Price
Reluctantly selling two RFT 6SN7 tubes in excellent condition. These come from military stock. 1953/1954 date codes and military markings on the glass! One tube is NOS/mint (and features newer RFT print; construction is the same), the other has slightly smeared print, and some shading inside the glass but tests excellent. These have beautiful construction with ceramic spacers, wire holders, dual fo...il cup getters, and smooth welded plates, reminding me of the special-quality Bendix tubes. These were not economical to manufacture, and only a handful of these were made, making them very rare nowadays. The tubes test 100%, and are matched within approx. 10%:
Tube 1: Ia1 = 13.70 mA / Ia2 = 12.80 mA, S/gm1 = 3.30 mA/V / S/gm2 = 3.10 mA/V
Tube 2: Ia1 = 11.90 mA / Ia2 = 12.90 mA, S/gm1 = 3.00 mA/V / S/gm2 = 3.40 mA/V
...where a new/unused tube should have a S/gm = ~2.20 mA/V! I will guarantee the tubes to test 90-100% on your tester and sound good in your amp. Returns accepted for any reason provided they are returned in the same condition. Also tested for leaks and shorts under both hot and cold conditions.
