Up for your consideration is my Leica IIIa Sync which started life as a Standard 1a model from 1929. This is a post war conversion, basically making this a IIIf. I really like these conversions because you would think they would all be similar but it’s not the case. Each one I’ve come across has unique characters that make it its own. For this example here, unlike most post war conversions this one has most of its original nickel parts, most were made to all chrome knobs, levers , ...etc. the only part that is chrome is the shutter speed dial as it’s like that found on the IIIf. I also liked the pretty early serial number. I feel this might have been converted to a III pre war and then after the war the owner sent it in for the latest upgrade for flash sync. Lucky for you I sent this to Yuxion Ye for a full CLA including BOTH new curtains! The camera is working beautifully and smooth. Nice contrast with the rangefinder patch as well. I will include documentation showing the CLA which cost $225. Cosmetics I what you would expect from a ninety year old camera. Some brassing, few indents on the top plate, on bump to the top plate on the rewind knob side. All pretty minor and shows this camera is meant for use. Attach you favorite screw mount lens and have a small, compact, capable and beautiful setup! Please ask questions before bidding! I will answer quickly! No partial refunds! If there is a problem please write me!
