This auction is for the very early Lenci sports series # 300 Golfer. He is 17 inches tall and dates from the 1930's. With his soulful, expressive little face, he is one of the most popular of the rare series of Lenci boy dolls....
He is dressed in his original all-felt golfing outfit consisting of tan felt knickers and a turquoise V-neck top trimmed with a wonderful wide tri-color pieced hemline with navy trim at the neckline and sleeve cuffs. He is missing his golf club, golf hat and leather shoes but retains his thick knit socks.
Condition: This Golfer Boy is near MINT in every way. His face is PERFECT -- beautifully painted and unretouched, with only the slightest shelf dust. His full light brown mohair is a wonderful mass of tousled curls.
With a replacement golf club, this would be a chance to add a gorgeous, delightful Lenci boy to your collection.
