Gorgeous 22 x 10 inch silk panel made from two Chinese hand embroidered sleeves that were removed from a 19th century Chinese kimono/robe and preserved. This panel features peonies and other flowers plus frogs and crickets. Also the are butterflies and other symbols. Embroidered in silk in forbidden stitch and other embroidery stitches. There are also some gold wrapped stitches. The panel has the original backing along with the original label. There is some aging to the fabric an...d there are a few small dark spots along the border. Some expected darkening and a few loose threads.
