Imperial German 1870 model barn find Artillery helmet. Unusual brass helmet plate to front and scale link chin strap (now broken). Leather shellin good sound but un-cleaned condition. Some stitching coming away to back peak. No liner and feint remains of regimental markings toback peak. Has one cockade and ball top remaining and one fixing pin missing to back of plate. Ideal project for helmet restorer or someonewanting a helmet as brought back home from the trenches.
