DESCRIPTIONVINTAGE/ANTIQUE AMBER CHEROOT CIGAR HOLDER WITH CASE. There is the mark "ECHT BERNSTEIN" on the holder, however no marks on the cheroot, so I am not sure is it original. The length of the holder is 5, 3 cm and the inside diameter, where the cigarette should be placed, is 0.9 cm. Weight of holder without case is 3.71 g. I tested the cheroot with the hot needle - the smoke is pine (amber) smell, thus it is made of Baltic amber, however it could be... made of heated amber. About Baltic Amber:
Baltic amber is fossil resin produced by pine trees which grew in Northern Europe about 40-60 million years ago. The resin was washed out of the forest floor by large rivers and transported south towards the sea.
