Brought back from Suriname in the 1970. Bought from a collector
Small eu...ropean oak seamans sailor (?) chest with handmade wrought iron gril, and cuffs chains. and lock.ches has original name and date on top.Chest has the GWC logo and is dated 1732.39,5×27,5×35 cm is size of chest. chain is 67 cm . Grill is 36 by 27 cm.
Also a very rare walking cane sword with bronze african figure or MOOR, ( sad to say but “Slave” The walkingstick or sword is probally 17th century. It bears also the WIC logo.Sword is 73 cm long.
Items ( chest only) were sold via Online auction during a two week auction, sold in last minute for 5500. Chest was send to the buyer, buyer had second thought Or just wanted pictures for his commercial purpose , however he canceled the sale. So instead if that online site i will try Ebay instead.
