8 Feature Film, Run Of The Arrow, Rare Full Feature Print, Sound Colour
Item History & Price
Up for auction is a very rare full length colour print of the 1957 Western from RKO Run of the Arrow.
I am supplying this film on 3 x full 600ft spools.
Originally it was mounted on 6 x 400 reels but i will be supply this as it stands on 3 very nice 600 ft spools.
I view my movies all the way through in order to give as accurate a description as I can,
The print is in good order for its age with some light lines, (mainly to the far right), there is a centre ...line for approx one minute during the last part of reel one there are some negative/lab marks for the first 200ft of the first part but nothing untoward, looks like dust which are unavoidable but overall the print is in good shape as you see with these images. Much of the film is line free.
The only splices are where the 400ft reels were joined, there is no sprocket damage and it projects very smoothly throughout.
The Colour, has faded but was never particularly strong when bought many years ago, however it has faded, oddly enough blacks are still black and dark scenes such as those shown are still fairly good with only a light red hue in some places.
I have tried to get images throughout the movie.
The Sound is good, this was a Mountain super 8 release so those of you who know cine films will understand when I say the sound is good but not up to the standards of Derann. It is however, good clear sound.
The spools and boxes.
Supplying on 3 x 600 reels. Excellent quality spools and all three boxes have a full size label. The three boxes are very good quality card from Derann & covered with clear plastic and are all in excellent condition.
The spools and boxes are worth the start price on there own in my view.
PLEASE NOTE, there is a sound drop on the first part for approximately 20 seconds where the volume drops low before coming back up to normal, other than that it’s all fine.
Despite the poor colour, what sets this one apart is the fact that it is full length, this was usually available commonly as a 4 x 400ft version in b/w abridged so this one is genuinely very hard to find. We have never seen another copy in this full length colour version since acquiring this one over 30 years ago.
Please feel free to ask any questions.
NOTE, If overseas postage is cheaper than that shown here i will refund the difference.
Happy Bidding.
