Original Description:
A bronze figure of a standing Bodhisattva with what look to be silver inlaid eyes. It is very heavy solid cast with a hard core. The patina is rich and deep with purplish/green/black areas throughout. I am not familiar with anything like it but it is certainly beautiful, and finely crafted. It has similarities to ancient statues from Kashmir, Gandhara or Swat Valley, and perhaps blends styles of all of these regions. Height: 23cm I am selling reluctantly from a cherished family collect...ion. See my other listings for similar items.
