Original Description:
This is an antique bronze Buddha sculpture from a local estate. It is sold bronze casting measuring 6 3/8” tall x 4 1/8” wide, with a cover-plate over the bottom (it sounds like a prayer scroll or similar item it loose inside of base). We are not experts, but believe that it’s very old 1800’s era with beautiful casting details, and wear to the old patina from normal age and handling. Some of the jewels are crudely cut, so we are not sure if they are actual precious stones or gl...ass (see images). Exactly as-found, with old uncleaned surface. It displays beautifully.
