offeredis a very nice 1929 art deco fancy shape clark pocket petrol liftarm lighter. the well made 8 sided platinum plated lighter features a small liftarm double wheel mechanism with deco engine turned design on front and back. the lighter is marked in decolettering on underside - THE CLARK ALWAYS WORKS along with patentinformation as shown. i have also shown first windproof liftarmdesigned by edward clark in 1926. this is a 1929 version and a rare shape liftarm model. clark was... an important manufacturer of cases - lighters -and other men's accessories. clark manufactured numerous liftarmmodels during the late 1920's thru early 1930's with this unusualdeco "8 side" being one of the most collectible. the quality lighter measures about 2" tall x 1-1/2" wide and and isin very good used untested condition. the flint screw is a replacement and lighter is missing flint spring. the flint tube is clear and mechanism shouldwork with proper service. some tiny aged dirt spots should clean withpolish and proper care. the liftarm has nice tension. overall - a showy fancy shape engine turned art deco clark pocket perol liftarm lighter for your collection. the clark feels platinum plated but may be nickel silver plated. lighter sold as a collectiblepatent not included in salePLEASE VIEW MY "LARRY LIGHTER" VINTAGE LIGHTER POSTS ON FACEBOOKusa is first class ship cost. overseas is first class airmail except the SHIP COST to italy-china-HK-eastern europe-russia-spain-greece-taiwan- via usps priority mail only-$40.
