This is a used and very rare KPBG Maverick Backup Buddy Floppy Drive designed to work as an accessory of the Maverick Disk Copying software. It is reported to allow raw disk copies and parameter style copying using the Maverick copying software.
This is a very few and far between item for collectors.
I have tested that it works as a regularly floppy drive.. successfully reading and writing to disks, but do not have the maverick software or its manual to learn how it works and to ...test further.
Warranty labels on case are scored, but uncertain if opened or just from normal wear at edge (see pics). I have not opened the case since I received it a couple years ago with a larger lot of items. There is also tape over an opening on black box, but do not know more. Assume it’s to tune device but that’s a guess.
Due to vintage and specialized nature, it is sold as is without warranty or returns.
