An antique Chinese silk robe fragment. Excellent details embroidered brocade style. Two 4 clawed dragons, Qilin or Foo, bats, peonies, clouds, precious objects and more... The details really are very good with nice colors. Age is unknown, Qing dynasty or perhaps earlier. Extensive use of gilt wrapped threads. Some condition issues including thin and weak fabric. Unraveling of edges. Rips and tears. Some overall fading. It is loosely attached to a paper backing. Would be hard to complet...ely remove from paper without causing more damage. Last 2 photos show the backside of fabric. It has some old patch repairs to it. Measures about 28 inches wide x 25 inches tall. Buyer pays shipping. This will be gently rolled and mailed in a tube.
