Welcome! For auction is this lovely vintage Chinese silk brocade panel. Would be excellent for framing or mounting, especially for book covers or the like. Inscription at one end. Likely cut and hemmed at opposite side. My guess is Republic Period and machine made. Still, a nice vintage and quite usable piece of silk brocade. Measures appx. 28 1/2 x 80 1/2". General light wear and minor soiling but overall in decent shape. Creases which could be steamed out. One small cigarette burn si...zed hole. Some stains and tiny holes in backing on reverse.
