Antique Dresden porcelain compote, pedestal stand, held by a winged cherub, delicately hand painted. Reticulated or lattice pierced basket at the top, hand painted roses inside, swags of encrusted roses all around the outside. The bas...e is also encrusted with roses. Gilt accents and trim. Apx 8 3/4" high; the diameter of the top is apx 6"; the diameter of the bottom is apx 4 1/2". Marked with a crown and shield logo, "Schierholz" in a banner; also hand painted "Germany", in blue. There may be a few tiny chips to the rose petals; otherwise very good condition. Enlarge photos for detail.
