Antique Anthony Wooden Detective Camera [SE]• Not sure of the model. I have seen it identified as a Climax model, and it is more similar to that model than others. However, it does not have a rear storage compartment. • As it’s from the 1880s, showing a bit of age is not a surprise.• Shutter works. While the mirror for the viewfinder shows expected deterioration, you can still see an acceptable image through it.• The focusing dial does move the film plane. Rear door is remov...able for focusing on the ground glass.• The lens is marked only with a horizontal E with an A through it above the word Rapid. The small pouch contains Waterhouse stops.• There is a small exterior door just behind the front panel of the camera controls. It is not attached, but there are two small hinges taped inside the front of the camera. I presume they are for that door. At some point the hinge holes in the door and the body were filled in. The knob to open the access door for loading film is missing and that door also has holes which were filled in.• The included 4”x5” plate holder is unlike any others I have seen. It has “PAT FEB 83” on it. The design is ingenious. Plates can apparently be loaded and unloaded without moving the dark slides.• It appears there was a tripod mount on the side for making landscape images, which was removed and filled in. It might be it was done so the camera would sit flat.• Just over 10” long x 7 1/8” x 5.5”PLEASE ASK QUESTIONS BEFORE BIDDING.IMPORTANT: My items are sold as described.
