A large portion of the collection was acquired by a well-known Doctor whose family history in China goes back to the 19th century. Up for auction is a QUALITY ANTIQUE CHINESE CLOISONNE ENAMEL GILT BRONZE CALLING CARD CIGARETTE CASE. A very unique and we believe rarely found antique example. You do not see many cases like this in cloisonne. The case is very finely made throughout and constructed of solid bronze that was then richly gold gilt. The cloisonne work is finely done to both sides.
Condition: Some very minor wear mainly to gold gilding. Interior could use light clean. Overall very good estate fresh condition the nicest we have personally seen. Case opens and locks closed perfectly.
Size: The case is a nice practical size for use measuring 3 1/8 inches long, by 2 5/8 inches wide and 1/2 of an inch thick. The case weighs 122 grams.
