Chinese Japanese Fortune Cat Maneki - Neko LARGE 10 " Waving Electric Porcelain

Maneki-Neko Japanese or Chinese Fortune CatPorcelain - Large - Electrified - 10" TallNEWNEVER DISPLAYED
I received this as a gift direct from China, but it does not fit within my home at this time as I am packing to move. This might serve someone better who understands and appreciates the sentiment or beliefs.Here is a little history of this type of piece...The maneki-neko (Japanese: 招き猫, literally "beckoning cat") is a common Japanese figurine (lucky charm, talisman) which is... often believed to bring good luck to the owner. In modern times, they are usually made of ceramic or plastic. The figurine depicts a cat (traditionally a calico Japanese Bobtail) beckoning with an upright paw, and is usually displayed in—often at the entrance of—shops, restaurants, pachinko parlors, laundromats, dry cleaners, salons, and other businesses. Some of the sculptures are electric or battery-powered and have a slow-moving paw beckoning (such as this one does!)
Maneki-neko come in different colors, styles and degrees of ornateness. Common colors are white, black, gold and sometimes red. In addition to ceramic figurines, maneki-neko can be found as keychains, piggy banks, air fresheners, house-plant pots, and miscellaneous ornaments, as well as large statues. It is also called the "Chinese lucky cat" because of its popularity among Chinese merchants.The name maneki-neko can be interpreted as a waving cat or a chant of a chant.
This one is not a bank, but it is electric. Runs on two AA Batteries, or a small cable that connects withing the battery compartment and runs to a USB Power Source that you must provide (power bank or PC, or wall supply, perhaps). It seems to be quite well-made! I could not find too many this size when searching. After inserting the batteries, you can start the cat's left paw waving or beckoning by simply turning the switch on - then setting it in motion. It will continue to wave as long as power is present. By "waving", I mean it swings "back and forth". Nothing is illuminated.

Cloth Padded Band tied around the neck.
Cloth Pillow, which it sits upon.Money Barrel that can be affixed to the cat's right paw if desired.Smaller, separate cat figurine.Both figurines are porcelain (not plastic). There is a small gold metal bell tied to the cat's neck. It does jingle!
I do not speak, nor read, Chinese or Japanese lettering - so I cannot translate the markings. Sorry!
