Very unusual engraved Indian face. This is a one of a kind Indian Artifact. If you take look you can see that the entire side has been engraved. It hasn't been cleaned and has thousands of years of mineral build up on it. This piece should be studied more in depth. It very well could have been used as an axe head because of where the grooves are and there is sharp bit side that has been beveled. This was not altered in any way. Years ago when in use this was most likely smooth and pain...ted. Over the years this is what you end up with. Artifacts like this can easily be overlooked when hunting, but when you discover that it's not just a rock. It's been alerted by someone thousands of years ago. Then trying to find its significance can be the hard part. This was found by myself in Windham county Connecticut. Its 5 1/2" to 6". Thank you and God bless.
