This is a Vintage ELEPHANT GOAD, BULLHOOK oe ANKUS w/ Hand-Carved DRAGON'S Head. We believe that it might be from the 1800s or perhaps earlier. It has a DRAGON'S HEAD with metal orbs for eyes. We are uncertain of the type of wood used in this piece, it looks like mahogany, or another Asian grown wood. The length of the ELEPHANT GOAD, BULLHOOK oe ANKUS is carved to look like Bamboo with alternating 'V' shaped grooves at the top of Bamboo section. It is in very good condition, but needs a tip on the bottom. It measures 22 1/4" long and 2 1/4" from dragon's nose to top hair curl.
