VINTAGE OLD PAWN FRED HARVEY ERA NAVAJO GERMAN SILVER & TURQUOISE CUFF BRACELET

On offer is an authentic old Fred Harvey era NAVAJO style handmade German Silver (an alloy of copper, zinc and tin) or Nickel Silver (an alloy of copper, zinc and nickel) and natural southwestern Turquoise tourist train stop cuff bracelet. This bracelet is not hallmarked as is quite common in early Native American silver work. We believe it was created circa 1930 or perhaps earlier.
It is adorned with applied raindrops, silver rope, nailheads, and stamped bear paw...s, arrows, half moons and other decorative motifs.
This traditional, decorative stamped bracelet is skillfully crafted in the old NAVAJO style with with attention to detail, and for the age is in good vintage condition. One of the outer scalloped bands does have one (1) small break near the stone, but this bracelet is still quite wearable as is (see photos for an accurate detailed depiction). The stone is in very good condition with no chips or cracks and is firmly set in a smooth silver bezel. These pieces were usually made by the Navajo at trading posts and Fred Harvey and other shops throughout the southwest.
Overall, the German Silver / Nickel Silver five (5) band cuff measures approx. 1" tapering to 3/8" wide. The interior circumference is 6 7/8" including 1 3/8" opening and has a bit of flexibility. The southwestern blue turquoise stone measures approx. 3/8" diameter. The bracelet weighs 21.2 grams - .68 ounce.
