Original Description:
Original Lakota Sioux Ghost Dance Double Doll (1890-1910). Hand made using canvas, native tanned leather, Trade seed beads, horse or human hair and mineral paint. Decorated with four pointed stars, quarter moons and Thunder Bird symbols. 
Two sided Ghost Dance Dolls represent this world - soon to be destroyed - and the paradise promised by the messiah.
Very rare and in good condition. No bead loss. Measures 13 1/2” tall.
